October is one of our favorite months living in Marietta, Georgia. You can open up all the windows, the Fall colors are beautiful and of course there are the festivities. The first week of October marks our annual trip to the North Georgia State Fair at Jim R. Miller Park in Marietta, GA. This was the first time I brought my camera and my 5 year old daughter. Needless to say, we spent too much time on the rides and not enough time taking pictures. That’s ok, if there was ever a time to put work aside it was then. Here are a few of the shots I did manage to get.
These photos were taken using a Canon Rebel XTi with a 10-22mm wide angle lens. All of the night shots were taken with a tripod and I bracketed several exposures that I later combined in Photoshop.
Although most of my work as an Atlanta Real Estate Photographer has me photographing homes for sale in Marietta, I enjoy taking photos of special occasions like this. I’m also a big fan of shooting night photography and landscape photography. Although it can sometimes be a challenge to get the shot you want, it’s these sort of things that keep real estate fun and interesting in this down market. Have a great October!
